Being led by the Holy Spirit
What does it mean to be led by the Holy Spirit?
- Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.
- Romans 8:14 All that are led by the Spirit of God they are the children of God.
- Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
- Isaiah 45:2 “I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars.
- Deuteronomy 1:30 'The LORD your God who goes before you, will Himself fight on your behalf.
- Psalm 37:23 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
Can we be led by the Holy Spirit without following? What does it mean to follow? Is walking by God's principles the same as walking by the Spirit?
Does 2 Chronicles 16:9 have anything to do with being led by the Spirit?
For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is fully devoted to Him.

Cognitive Dissonance? Cognitive Distortion?
Cognitive dissonance may be defined as the state of having inconsistent or conflicting thoughts, beliefs, attitudes or behaviors, which, in turn, produce a feeling of discomfort within the individual.
Cognitive distortions are simply ways that our mind convinces us of something that isn't really true. These inaccurate thoughts are usually used to reinforce negative thinking or emotions — telling ourselves things that sound rational and accurate, but really only serve to keep us feeling bad about ourselves.
